Editorial Policy: How Dikkiloona Reports Tamil Cinema and OTT News
This editorial policy explains how Dikkiloona researches, writes, checks and updates its Tamil movie and OTT coverage.
Sourcing
Release dates, platforms, cast and runtime come from official sources first: producer and studio announcements, platform press releases and listings, and certificates published by the Central Board of Film Certification. Where we rely on a trade report, we say so. We do not publish rumours as facts; unconfirmed items are labelled as unconfirmed.
Accuracy and updates
Release schedules change. When a film moves date or platform we update the original article rather than leaving outdated information live. Articles with key facts show a verified badge only when the facts were checked against an official source.
Reviews
Reviews are written after watching the film. Our scoring approach is explained in how we review Tamil movies. We avoid major spoilers in headlines and opening paragraphs.
Box office figures
Collections are reported with the named source. Producer-announced and tracker-estimated figures are labelled differently, because they often disagree.
Independence and conflicts of interest
Advertising and affiliate relationships never decide what we publish or how we rate a film. See the advertising and affiliate disclosure.
Piracy
We do not link to, host or promote pirated films or streaming sites. We point readers only to legal theatrical and OTT releases.
